| MASONIC SCHOLARSHIP AND SERVICE AWARD PROGRAMS
For over 20 years, Minnesota Masonry and Minneapolis 19 have provided for college scholarships for graduating high school seniors and returning university students. Listed below are some of the scholarship opportunities available through our Lodge and affiliated organizations.
MINNEAPOLIS LODGE NO. 19 SIGNATURE SCHOLARSHIPS PROGRAM

Starting in 2008, TWO $5,000 scholarships will be awarded by the Minneapolis Lodge No. 19 Scholarship Foundation which are available to individuals pursuing undergraduate or graduate studies. Eligibility for scholarship grants is based on a criteria of financial need, academic achievement, and broad participation in community or school activities. Refer the scholarship application for more information concerning eligibility. This scholarship fund is administered by the Minneapolis Lodge No. 19 Scholarship Foundation.
MINNEAPOLIS LODGE NO. 19 & MINNESOTA MASONIC CHARITIES

| GRAND LODGE MATCHING FUNDS SCHOLARSHIP PROGRAM - $3,000

Minnesota Masonic Charities continues the program of the former Minnesota Masonic Foundation, offering the Matching Funds Scholarship Program. The local lodge is asked to select the students and to determine the amount of the scholarships.
Minnesota Masonic Charities matches the local lodge scholarships, up to the maximum matching award per lodge of $1,500 for 2008.
Minneapolis 19 will participate in the Matching Funds Scholarship Program up to the maximum allowable matching funds amount. For 2008, our foundation will award one scholarship to a graduating Minneapolis high school senior seeking higher education in the amount of $3,000 which will consist of $1,500 from the Minneapolis Lodge No. 19 Scholarship Foundation and $1,500 in matching funds from the Matching Funds Scholarship Program.
This scholarship fund is administered by the Minneapolis Lodge No. 19 Scholarship Foundation. MINNEAPOLIS LODGE NO. 19 MASONIC YOUTH LEADERSHIP RECOGNITION PROGRAMMASONIC SERVICE AWARDS - $2,000
Starting in 2008, Minneapolis 19 will be honoring our Minnesota Masonic youth leadership of DeMolay and Job's Daughters with an automatic $1,000 Masonic Service Award annually.
These two awards will be presented to:
- The current Minnesota DeMolay State Master Councilor
- The current Minnesota Job's Daughters Grand Bethel Honored Queen
This award fund is administered by the Minneapolis Lodge No. 19 Scholarship Foundation.
MINNESOTA MASONIC CHARITIES SIGNATURE SCHOLARSHIPS - $25,000 |  |
The Minnesota Masonic Charities Signature Scholarship Program is proud to name these scholarships after five individuals who are strongly identified with the state of Minnesota through personal achievement or public service, and who were personally committed to the values of Masonry in their private lives.
These individuals are:
- James Jerome Hill - Ancient Landmark Masonic Lodge No. 5
- Hubert Horatio Humphrey, Jr. - Cataract Masonic Lodge No. 2

Mayo Brothers - Rochester Lodge No. 21
- Harold Edward Stassen - Shekinah Masonic Lodge No. 171
- Laura Ingalls Wilder - Order of the Eastern Star
WHO IS ELIGIBLE TO APPLY FOR THIS SCHOLARSHIP? Scholarship applicants must be:
- Graduating seniors from an accredited Minnesota high school with a minimum GPA of 3.00 - OR -
- Currently enrolled in college as first or second year students with a minimum GPA of 3.00, having graduated from an accredited Minnesota high school.
NOTE: Renewal of a graduate school scholarship may include a lesser requirement for GPA given the higher difficulty factor. These scholarships are made available on an equal opportunity basis, with no discrimination for age, gender, religion or national origin. There are no restrictions on the geographic location of the recipient school choice, including outside of the United States.
WHAT IS THE AMOUNT OF THE SCHOLARSHIP? There are FIVE $5,000 Signature Scholarships and each scholarship may be renewed for four years, for up to $20,000.
HOW WILL SCHOLARSHIP RECIPIENTS BE SELECTED? The Minnesota Masonic Charities Scholarship Committee will review all applications and determine the recipients as well as which of the five Signature Scholarships they will be granted. Applicants may be invited to come in for a personal interview. The Committee should make its decisions in late March or early April. All applicants for these scholarships will be notified of the Committee’s decisions.

A program is in place for the naming of scholarships for a year, four years or a lifetime.

The Minneapolis Lodge No. 19 Scholarship Foundation is currently seeking 501(c)3 status with the I.R.S. Your present donations to the endowment fund, however, are NOT considered tax deductible at this time.
