| NEW MEMBER EDUCATION PROGRAM
The
Lodge has a responsibility to provide you with opportunities to meet
and interact with others, to help you do their share, and to provide
knowledge about the Fraternity.
This requires an education/mentoring program which must become a team
effort aimed at developing each new Brother to his fullest potential.
This mentoring program consists of assigning each candidate, like
yourself, an experienced Brother to act as his mentor, educator and
companion, who will be with you throughout this journey through the
Craft degrees. He will provide you with the appropriate literature to
explain each of the three degrees. So, from just being a candidate, you
will become an active, motivated and educated Lodge member.
Many new members, like yourself, do not stay active in the Lodge after
the Third Degree because you're not stimulated enough. Usually, this is
due to not fully understanding the Fraternity you have just joined.
Every candidate is a stranger to Freemasonry and Freemasonry is a
stranger to him. It is not merely a Lodge that you join, but a great
Fraternity with a history stretching back over many centuries.
As a candidate, you have every right to expect that the Lodge will
provide you with as much information as you need. But we find many
Brethren in our state never receive this information and are permitted
to come—and perhaps go— undirected and uninstructed.
At Minneapolis 19, you will be assigned a mentor who will contact you
and advise you through the Degree program schedule and invite you and
your lady to any open Lodge and/or social functions.
This New Member Education site
has been established for you to supplement your experience with the
assigned Lodge mentor. You will find the necessary materials to guide
you through the Entered Apprentice through the Master Mason Degree.

resource page.
