Brethren and Guests,
Welcome to Minneapolis Lodge No. 19. We are now in our 150th year as we enter 2008.
But don't let our age fool you. We have a young and progressive Lodge that provides its members with a balance of Masonic traditions and programs mixed in with relevant social programming aimed at developing and maintaining long-lasting friendships or what we call "Brotherhood" in the Craft.
If this is your first time to our website, I welcome you to look around and find out more about Minneapolis 19 and Masonry in general. And feel free to tell us what you think about the site through our guestbook.
Starting in 2008, I'm excited to inform you about a few new programs debuting at 19. They are:
1. Nineteener Night. On every 19th of the month we have a social program for our Brothers, friends and those interested in finding out more about Masonry. Check out our website and newsletter for further information.
2. RWB John R. Hendrickson, Sr Scholarships. Starting this year, we will be offering two $5,000 scholarships to individuals seeking advanced education.
3. 19 Life Membership Fund. Our new perpetual membership program, managed by the Trustees of 19, provides a free life membership to all our Brothers who reach the age of 70 years or more with 15 consecutive years of dues paying history.
4. "Gavel to Gavel" Business Meetings in 30 minutes or less. We conduct most of our business in monthly officer meetings and reserve the rest of the time getting to know you better over dinner and some refreshments at the Mansion.
I'm excited to be your Master for 2008 and look forward to elevating the traditions and programs of 19 through our young and professional officer line this year. Come join us and see how we have changed for the better...
Fraternally Yours,
Roger A. Wainwright, Master 2008
